(The Outlanders)
There's a saying....."Never bring a Gangrel to a cocktail party". A True fact. These Kindred aren't about socializing. They do not care about pleasantries or etiquette.
Due to these facts they are shunned and looked down upon by many other Kindred, believing them to be primitive animals. What they do believe in is honor, truth and courage.
Who's the animal now?
Called "Outlanders" by other Kindred, the Gangrel are the wanderers and nomads of Kindred society. They are a clan of survivors with no want or need for civilization, and are as much at home on the road or in the wilds as in the city. In fact, most are more at home in the wilds.
This is not to say that some Gangrel do not live in the city or stay in the same place for long periods of time. Some Gangrel call the city home, though most that do live in parks or outside the city proper. Others will pick out a territory and put down stakes for a while.
They always pick their progeny very carefully, looking for those that can survive on their own. This is largely due to the fact that after embracing their childe, they abandon them to make their own way in the world. Though the sire may watch his childe from a distance, they almost never interfere. When the time is right, they present themselves to the fledgling and teach them the ways of the clan.
Because the Gangrel are essentially nomadic loners, who rarely acknowledge social niceties, it should come as no surprise that they have little in the way of clan organization. They rarely assemble, and respect is only given to those who earned it through combat prowess or storytelling ability.
