Tower of London - London, England
The Tower of London has been the setting for many great events during its 900-year history as a royal palace and fortress, prison and place of execution, arsenal, mint, menagerie, as well as home to the Crown Jewels.
We have taken several trips to the Tower and always enjoy ourselves. Friends of ours, Angie and Keith Hanson live within the tower walls. Keith is the Chief Exhibitor of the Crown Jewels, so we are able to drive to London and park the car inside the Tower. We have stayed for the day and also have had the opportunity to spend the weekend. Our first weekend trip was for Remembrance Sunday, where we went to the Tower Chapel for a special sunday service, with Rowan Williams the Archbishop of Canterbury presiding.
